South African Gold Krugerrand

Close up of a gold Krugerrand. Visit my channel page for more gold and silver videos.

The Krugerrand is a South African gold coin, first minted in 1967 to help market South African gold. The coin proved popular, and by 1980 the Krugerrand accounted for 90% of the gold coin market. It is produced by the South African Mint, and offered in one ounce, a half ounce, a quarter ounce and a tenth ounce of actual gold weight. The Krugerrand was introduced in 1967, as a vehicle for private ownership of gold. It was actually intended to circulate as currency. Therefore it was minted in a more durable gold alloy, unlike most other bullion coins. he Krugerrand is 32.6 mm in diameter and 2.74 mm thick. The Krugerrand's actual weight is 1.0909 troy ounces (33.93 g). It is minted from gold alloy that is 91.67% pure (22 karats), so the coin contains one troy ounce (31.1035 g) of gold. The remaining 8.33% of the coin's weight (2.826 g) is copper (an alloy known historically as crown gold which has long been used for English gold sovereigns), which gives the Krugerrand a more orange appearance than silver-alloyed gold coins. Copper alloy coins are harder and more durable, so they can resist scratches and dents. The Krugerrand is so named because the obverse bears the face of Boer statesman Paul Kruger, four-term president of the old South African Republic. The reverse depicts a springbok, one of the national symbols of South Africa. The image was designed by Coert Steynberg, and was previously used on the reverse of the earlier South African five shilling coin. The name "South Africa" and the gold content are inscribed in both Afrikaans and English (as can be seen on the pictures of the coin).

Goldline Settles Fraud Case Out Of Court For Millions

So the frauds at Goldline have settled out of court for millions for playing well meaning folks out there like pianos. So now Goldline can walk around as they did in this CNN clip and say we are not guilty of anything , so they shelled out MILLIONS for not being guilty? Peter Schiff exposed the Goldline fraud months in advance of mainstream media. He has been warning about Goldline for about a year. This was one of the best! He explains how exposing the fraud of competitors is Capitalism at work! Most importantly, Peter calls for other conservative talk show hosts to condemn the actions of Goldline instead of defending them. By defending Goldline, it plays perfectly into the hands of the left.

How to Buy Gold. How to buy Silver. What to buy?

How to Buy Gold. How to buy www.TheBullorBearReport.com discount broker I use: www.TDAmeritrade.com Gold/Silver Dealer I use: www.APMEX.com For Bulk Silver/Gold Purchases: www.Tulving.comSilver. What to buy? Every investor can do what they want. Definitely hold some as your personal "Core Savings Reserve". But I want to invest into Real Estate and businesses. So once I reach my exit goal, which I will keep everyone here posted when it happens, I am out. Another Rule: NEVER be the last guy in an investment. I'll take my exit before that happens and invest the proceeds into other assets... Let someone else make the last bit at the top. Good luck.

Copper Ingots

Melting some scrap Copper tubing (Thanks Vas) and a little scrap wire. Pouring Copper ingots , Most scrap yards/ recyclers will not accept home made ingots, so unless you know the recycler, leave it its current state. Not to mention the added cost and time to melt it down. Fuel cost alone added would cut severely into your value as scrap. Just turn it in and use the money to build a forge. Not if you make a used motor oil blast furnace like I did,,,,,free fuel.

Silver Panda Coin Appreciation

Many experts have long noted that Chinese Panda coins are one of the worst investments available amongst government issued coins. In my opinion this is no longer the case despite growing mintages of 2010, 2011, 2012 releases. Premiums are much higher yet we can also see that premiums are made for the sale of Panda coins through coin dealers, eBay, APMEX and others. Remember, there are around 1.4 Billion Chinese with growing funds to purchase gold and silver coins. The fact that prices for these coins are high show the demand. Despite the premiums and higher mintages - demand is skyrocketing in the world's largest gold and silver market. (Chinese are not buying Eagles, Maples or Krugerrands my friends. They buy Pandas, making the Chinese Panda the world's most sought after government issued precious metals coin.

2011 America the Beautiful Series Glacier 5 Ounce Silver Coin Review

2011 America the Beautiful Series Glacier 5 Ounce Silver Coin Review This five ounce .999 fine silver bullion coin is part of the America the Beautiful Series from the United States Mint. It is a great way to stack silver bullion and also appeals to collectors from a numismatic perspective. I recommend purchasing them from ProvidentMetals.com. They ship them in Air-Tite containers that are great for storage. They're priced at only a few dollars over spot per ounce. This is a great coin series to collect if you dislike the massive one kilo coins but want something larger than a one ounce coin

People should get the most bullion and best deals they can. The only advantage of coins is that you can sell 1oz at a time instead of selling 10oz in one go..you'd be better with coins if you had to exchange them....I simply believe that more bullion is BEST..The bigger the bar the more silver you get for your money Each bar takes effort to make so that effort happens with every bar you buy Best to buy one 1..100oz bar with 1 lot of effort rather that 10..10oz bars with 10 times the effort. You don't want to pay for effort..you want to pay for silver....There is a larger spread between bars and coins at the Perth Mint vs other online dealers, but that spread gets smaller in bulk for coins (but not for bars), for example if you buy 500+ koalas then you get a much lower price than if you buy 10 (currently $36.21 vs $39.71), but other online dealers will often sell for the bulk Perth Mint price in smaller quantities. If you're buying smaller quantities of coins you are best off going through other dealers.

The wrong way to Buy GOLD - Peter Schiff

Just buy the coin for it's melt value, as close to spot price as possible you don't need to get a fancy coin, don't be silly, you should just be buying the cheapest coin you can (silver/gold) I just buy from APMEX. I'm not trying to hype them up, but APMEX is pretty competitive on prices for their Eagles. I dont even bother to call them, I just order online. I receive a tracking number the next day and in about a week my delivery arrives. Pretty boring actually. I also have a local coin dealer where I buy Peace, Morgans, Franklins & Kennedy's, their prices are fair and the sales clerk has nice tits, so that keeps me coming back. People should be smart enough to do their own research plain and simple....I would never do business with goldline or do business like goldline. But if people are dumb enough to buy from them....then it is what it is.
