Austrian Mint Tour: Inside Look At The Vienna Philharmonic Coin | Kitco News

As Kitco News’ London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) conference coverage came to an end, Daniela Cambone took to the streets of Vienna to get a glimpse at one of the world’s most beloved gold coins: The Vienna Philharmonic. Taking a tour of the Austrian Mint, Cambone had a chance to get up close and personal with the one-ounce coin and get at inside look at how it is minted. The mint’s marketing director, Andrea Lang, shared some insights on the history of the coin and how it came to be one of the most sold bullion coins around the world. “Very quickly, the Viennese Philharmonic coin became of the best sold coins worldwide as the World Gold Council said,” Lang noted. “People want to have it. Not only Austrians, but worldwide.” According to Lang, the mint currently produces about 1.4 million coins per day. Kitco News, October 29, 2015.

Gold Down As U.S. Stocks Rebound; Silver Hits 6-Week Low

Gold and silver are both solidly lower in U.S. trading Wednesday, pressured by rallies in most major world stock markets today. One senior market trader says that there is too much noise in the market for gold to find a clear direction. ‘We don’t have a clear path here – the way the currencies are moving back and forth are having a dramatic impact on gold. Gold is moving at a slower pace,’ said Todd Bubba Horwitz of the Adam Mesh Trading Group. December Comex gold was last down $13.30 at $1,125.10 an ounce. Horwitz said he still likes the gold space and would not be surprised to see the metal head back to last week’s highs. ‘I think eventually gold will make its way back up – it has an outstanding chance of hitting $1,200,’ he told Kitco News. For now, the senior trader said the metal is ‘churning’ in this range but overall, it is a good, long play. September Comex silver hit a six-year low this morning and was last down $0.465 at $14.14 an ounce, but Horwitz said there is great potential for the metal. ‘I like silver more than gold, it has a much bigger upside and can double and triple – but not tomorrow,’ he said. ‘You want to start accumulating silver at these levels,’ he added. The 10 Best Silver Coins for Investment

The 10 Best Silver Coins for Investment. These are my top 10 pick for coins that you should own for silver investing when the "stuffing" hits the fan; so to speak... Most people fantasize about finding a “diamond in the rough” a rare collectible coin handed out as change from Wal-Mart but as an investment strategy, numismatics are less attractive that silver bullion. Why? Because the price of silver is set to skyrocket. Currently trading at around $19.50, many analysts see silver at $50 or higher within the next year or two. Having too much money tied up in numismatics means you could miss out on the coming silver explosion. With that in mind, here is a list of the MY top ten best silver coins for investment

Greenspan Warns of Collapse: Buy GOLD!

stuff gold, buy silver. gold is used in jewelry, making satellites and nuclear fusion. fact is the last 2 there are RARELY made. silver is used in solar panels, watch batteries, microprocessors, burns bandages, silver colloid water purification, and so on. at least silver has more realistic uses. But if you are investing in real estate in mainland china, have fun. esp when there are cities with only 7% the population they were built for. I've worked for 2 different chinese millionaires before.

Gold Fingers - How to Recover Gold from Electronic Scrap

In this video tutorial i'm showing how to recover gold from electronic circuit board scrap. Specifically the gold plating that is found on the board connector edge - A.K.A the "fingers". This video is a complementary to the complete written tutorial on Gold-N-Scrap website (direct link below) The process applies to other kinds of gold plated itmes, given the substrate is unreactive (such as PCB, ceramic, glass etc'...). This process is less suitable for metallic items that are gold plated such as gold plated pins and gold filled items, though it will work with much effort and large consumption of acid. Post a comment and let us know how much gold do you think this recovery process yielded.

Silver NOW - My top five reasons for buying physical silver now.

Here is why you should buy physical silver in 1 oz coins now. As both a safeguard, and and investment but also to screw with the bankers! And I do hate banksters.

Millions of Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins and American Silver Eagles are bought as investments each year. The Silver Maple Leaf is legal tender at $5 per ounce and there are many other silver coins with higher legal tender values, including $20 Canadian silver coins. Silver is legal tender in Utah, and can be used to pay all debts. Silver coins are readily recognisable and sell for their bullion value easily.

HOW THEY ARE MADE ➜ U.S. Silver Eagle Coins ➤ #1 Best Silver Investment

Check out the U.S. Mint working around the clock to try and quell the public's insatiable demand for Silver Eagle Coins. This footage was edited together thanks to the U.S. Mint and CoinMags footage while the supply chart was provided by At 3:20 in you get an even wider look at American Gold & Silver Eagle Coin sales since the 1986 inception of the U.S. Mint Bullion program. Note how in silver eagle coin demand (blue bars), there are basically 3 stages of buying demand the U.S. Mint has received from the investing public. As silver eagle coins are the #1 choice of physical silver bullion buyers the world over, I believe it worthwhile to examine the various stages of silver eagle coin demand to date. First there is the inception of the coin program which surely excited coin collectors in the mid-1980s. Only then came the dot-com bubble of the middle and late 1990s, taking away most investor’s attentions. Then around 1999, there were the Y2K (year 2000) fear phenomenons which swept many doomsdayers into a frenzy. Couple concerned people’s Y2K Mad Max narratives and the growing ability of the internet to spread not only messages of concern, but also to communicate fundamental investment knowledge (e.g. Ted Butler’s work) about silver and gold investing. Remember too that in the year 2000, the U.S. dollar was strong, we had gas prices at like $1 a gallon. That was the approximate bottom point for bullion values. Then the 9/11 tragedy happened, we doubled down on wars, we got hammered with a barrage of fear cards from terrorists in caves plotting to decimate our cities. The easy credit and lending of the housing bubble kicked in, people felt wealthy, credit was easy and cheap for most middle class americans which rapidly appreciating on paper home values. The final level of silver eagle coin demand sprang up thanks to the 2008 global financial crisis. At the time many, many losing investors (losing approximately 43% of their wealth) began to see the financial system’s instabilities while investigating the fundamental factors of our entire financial system. I am talking about how it works, how “the sausage is made”, what the system relies upon to function fluidly, where the biggest risks are, etc. I believe many of these investors who were spurred to buy bullion during the financial crisis of 2008 and 2009, they for the most part understand the fundamental factors for why they bought physical silver (and gold for that matter). Most if asked would say the system has not structurally of fundamentally changed, it has indeed worsened. Many would also say (including myself) that there are more reasons now than ever to be stacking silver and gold bullion while reducing your portfolio’s paper and counterparty risks. Today it only takes one large daisy-chain of derivatives gone bad to potentially expose the now larger than 2008 insolvent commercial banks who actively use accounting scams to cover their insolvency. We could see a global crisis in the confidence of the world’s bond markets. There is the potential of a G20 round-robin of global fiat currency devaluations for we do now have unsustainable debts and entitlement programs in the west which will have to be addressed at some point. Eventually all the financial and monetary systems must be fundamentally fixed, band-aid central bank solutions, price and media propaganda, they won’t solve the issues long term. In the coming atonement, silver and gold bullion are what many in the public are choosing to hold (my dear reader, you can include me on the list).

GOLD BUYING IN CHINA - An Introduction to Buying Gold Bullion in China Gold Shops

"Gold is set for another bearish year," Howie Lee, an analyst at Phillip Futures, said in a note Thursday before the metal's decline in U.S. trading hours. He cited a "strong signal" of interest rate hikes ahead based on changes in the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee statement Wednesday.

"A hawkish U.S. Federal Reserve adds negative pressure on gold, as higher interest rates and a stronger dollar dims the appeal of gold as an alternative asset," Lee said. India overtook China as the world's biggest gold consumer in 2014 as global physical demand fell, an industry report showed on Thursday, forecasting that prices that have declined for the last two years would bottom out this year.

Gold shipments to China from Hong Kong fell 32 percent in 2014 from a record a year earlier as lower prices failed to boost demand.
Demand for luxury goods including bullion has been hurt by an anti-graft drive in China, while a rally in stock markets damped interest in the metal as an investment. Purchases of the precious metal that pushed China above India as the world’s biggest consumer after it dropped into a bear market in 2013 haven’t been sustained, leading banks including Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to predict further price declines A larger global currency shift is underway.

The absolutely stunning decision by the Swiss National Bank to decouple from the euro has triggered billions of dollars worth of losses all over the globe. China has been quietly stockpiling gold for years now. In fact, it is stockpiling so much gold that many have speculated that it may be building a gold-backed yuan currency that would make the Dollar pale in comparison on the global market.

Lots of other countries are rapidly buying up gold, too, including – Serbia, Greece, Ecuador, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. But reportedly no one is buying gold at a faster pace than Russia. More than that, Putin has been positioning his motherland to team up with China to solidify the emerging BRICS system which aims to thwart decades of Anglo financial dominance with a un-dollar currency system that will also include a development bank.

With the gold price continuing to outperform stocks and cyclical commodities in 2010, debate has intensified over how much upside is left in gold’s bull market. One of the most successful investors of this generation, hedge fund magnate who rose to fame for shorting securities tied to the housing market prior to the financial crisis of 2008, recently expressed his bullish outlook for the gold price As for the gold price, very bullish on the yellow metal, noting that the price of gold has been highly correlated to the monetary base for as long as his firm, Paulson & Co., has tracked the data. Given his expectation for further money printing by the Fed – and that in 1980 the gold price rose by 100% more than the correlation implied – assets are denominated in gold – a strong indication of his disdain for fiat currencies. ukraine gold gone

First, China buys physical gold in world markets, fabricates it where necessary into “good delivery” bars – in Switzerland or the Middle East – then ships the bullion, transparently through Hong Kong or Shanghai (or quietly through Beijing and other ports of entry). Second, it keeps virtually all domestically mined gold “in house.” The world was slow to wake up to the new reality in which China is now the de facto IMF sovereign backstop, as Zero Hedge described two weeks ago in “China Prepares To Bailout Russia” when we noted that a PBOC swap-line was meant to reduce the role of the US dollar if China and Russia need to help each other overcome a liquidity squeeze, something we first noted over two months ago in “China, Russia Sign CNY150 Billion Local-Currency Swap As Plunging Oil Prices Sting Putin.”

How to Purchase Gold Bullion

Buying Gold Bullion

This video discusses the different types of gold and silver you can buy and how to purchase gold bullion. Gold bullion has actually been the number one performing asset class for the last decade. It has had an average yield of better than 15% here in the United States.

Gold has typically provided the investor with an opportunity to hedge against the devaluation of paper currency and it is also a quality investment in uncertain financial times.

What we are looking at right now is some severe political and geopolitical risk based on our financial system and gold bullion may be one of the best ways for an individual to hedge against these problems that sit out on the horizon.
