Max Keiser - Forget Gold and Silver, INVEST in Bitcoins
Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert discuss the Old Lady's gold habit, the gold that may be leaving Cyprus' central bank (or not) and Confucius' famous saying: "IMF STUPID SELL TO GOLD, I'M BUYING." They also look at the Federal Reserve data accidentally sent to Wall Street bank lobbyists and the venture capitalists entering the new Land Grab. In the second half of the show, Max Keiser talks to James Turk about money, gold, bitcoin, currency wars and the nature of bank failures: to look good until the bank fails overnight. Bitcoin vs. Silver & Gold

Just a comparison of the pros and cons of both bitcoin and silver/gold.

I may have missed some points. But I do cover here the most obvious pros and cons.

If there exists no electricity in the entire world then yes bitcoins would cease to exist along with all other modern technologies. If there is no internet there is still older ways to transmit data long distances. It may be slower but still worked back in the day. Even dialup would work

How To Invest In Precious Metals

Find out more about how to invest in precious metals and investing gold into your retirement account. Receive your FREE Gold Investment Kit and get started today.

Due to serious concerns over inflation and the devaluation of the U.S. Dollar, many forward-thinking investors are considering buying into gold and silver markets or other precious metals equities. For individuals turning an eye toward investments in gold, silver, platinum or palladium, here are some useful guidelines that can help secure your overall finances throughout the future.

The first thing you'll need to get is a broker. Whether it's a physical broker or an online brokerage firm who you can call for assistance, you're going to need a brokering service when getting started with precious metals investments.

Examine all options available to you. These days, the financial market has seen a whole new variety of resources to help investors who want to cash in on changes in gold prices or silver prices, as well as valuations for other precious metals.

Also, be sure to evaluate precious metals ETFs and ETNs. Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) or Exchange-Traded Notes (ETNs) are both active funds that are traded throughout the market day. They are much like stocks, however they bundle equities for specific yield and risk ratios.

Consider other types of precious metals funds, such as precious metals index funds and various mutual funds for silver and gold. The variety of precious metals funds indicates there's something for almost every investor who wants to get involved. The funds exist to effectively help individuals profit from drops in gold or silver value, classically called "shorting commodities".

Compare raw values vs numismatic values for precious metals investments. One very important aspect of investing in gold, silver or other precious metals is whether or not the investor wants to trade into raw materials or choose items that have intrinsic value, such as collectibles.

Consider assessing raw metals opportunities. Some basic precious metals investments are typically offered in major national exchanges or in the global Forex market. The South African Krugerrand is a perfect example of a coin that holds its raw value as gold bullion, where the value (measured in troy ounces) will be equivalent to the value of raw gold. Other types of coins and collectibles may have their own numismatic values and trading risks associated with those values.

Remember to track precious metals investments. When an individual trader buys into basic precious metals commodities; gold or silver futures, funds like ETFs and ETNs, mining operations or anything else based on precious metals value, tracking these investments is the real key to profits.

Lastly, do think about profit taking. Every investor has their own approach for benefiting from price increases. Some may choose to hold onto their gold, silver or other precious metals for a long period of time. They're hoping that in unforeseen future events, prices will spiral up and generate vast amounts of wealth for them. Others may just prefer to profit annually from increases in equity values. Following these guidelines and having a concrete strategy in place will certainly help you succeed with precious metals investing.

The Fundamentals of Precious Metals Investing with Jerry Robinson and Tom Cloud

Everyday it seems, gold and silver prices just keep going up. But is precious metals investing just a fad? Gold prices have been rising for 11 consecutive years. Is gold just in a classic bubble phase that is getting ready to pop? And why has silver made new 31-year highs dozens of times already this year?

In this highly important 90 minute webinar, FTMDaily's Chief Economic Strategist, Jerry Robinson, and veteran precious metals advisor, Tom Cloud, join up to bring you a dynamic free online presentation that will answer these questions and more.

Topics include:

An update on the U.S. Dollar (plus, Jerry's forecast on how the Federal Reserve is going to act in the near future.)

The hard facts on how China and other emerging nations are impacting supply and demand for precious metals (and how these changes will affect prices.)

How you can add physical precious metals to your IRA (Wall Street and most financial advisors never talk about this topic...)

Why silver prices are set to explode! (And the best way for you profit from them.)

The shocking news that Tom is hearing from his global suppliers (We'll give you the full details...)

What you should know about palladium (And how this metal can be a great addition to your portfolio.)

Plus, we'll answer the burning question: "Is it too late to buy gold and silver?" (And if you already own gold and silver, "Is it too late to buy more now?")

Plus, there will be a special time for your questions in our viewer Q&A segment.

Gold vs Bitcoin

Here's what's in your Prime Interest today:
There's a new Bitcoin sherriff in town. It's called the Digital Asset Transfer Authority -- or DATA. And it's not just limited to Bitcoins, it will self-govern most of the actors in the digital currency space, including Ripple. Again, this is on a purely voluntary basis. With regulators increasingly cracking down on various crypto-currencies, DATA is attempting to get ahead of the game -- and craft best practices to interact with regulators. Bob talks with Trace Mayer, entrepreneur, and Andreas Antonopoulos, internet security expert, and asks if the new regulatory authority, DATA, goes against the original purpose of Bitcoins -- namely anonymity. Then we head to the hills of Virginia's gold belt to see what takes longer: mining bitcoin or mining gold. Finally Bob duels Mark Levine on the Snowden affair.

1-888-997-3984 - A recent cable was leaked by the infamous WikiLeaks website, which revealed the REAL reason behind China's increasing demand... it showed that China's intent is to make major gold purchases for the sole purpose of weakening the U.S. dollar.

"The U.S. and Europe have always suppressed the rising price of gold. They intend to weaken gold's function as an international reserve currency. They don't want to see other countries turning to gold reserves instead of the U.S. dollar or Euro. Therefore, suppressing the price of gold is very beneficial for the U.S. in maintaining the U.S. dollar's role as the international reserve currency. China's increased gold reserves will thus act as a model and lead other countries towards reserving more gold."

Turn Your Scrap Gold Into A Lucrative Investment

Current recession has once again given way to a debate regarding the charm of selling scrap gold. In fact, the price of spot gold seems to be rising every day. Moreover it has been some years since the price of one gram of gold went under $1000. Therefore, selling scrap gold has once again seen as a great investment opportunity.

In reality, selling scrap gold was always a lucrative investment, but only for those people who knew that scrap gold is not scrap at all. On the contrary, goldsmith and pawnbrokers understand that the appeal of scrap gold is even more attractive than buying it from mining companies because it is easy to turn scrap gold back into its pure form without incurring high costs.

Where is Scrap Gold?

Scrap gold is not only found in broken jewelry, watches, antiques and coins, but it is everywhere in the household. Did you know that your television set, communication devices, house appliances and even cell phones may have components made of gold? Actually, people who know where to look for scrap gold have made it a habit of selling scrap gold to yield high profits.

The Opportunity

As it will take another three to five years before the economy goes back to pre-recession era, now is the best time to sell scrap gold and buy gold investments. For sellers of scrap gold, current high prices mean that it is sensible to sell scrap gold and invest that amount in alternative forms of financial deals. It will not be an oversimplification to suggest that selling scrap gold is just one great investment opportunity but investing the profits gained from selling scrap gold is twice the gain. Since the aurora of mining precious metal has dwindled, savvy investors understand that scrap gold has gained immense importance. Therefore, it is the right time to sell your scrap gold and earn a hefty profit.

Where to Invest?

After selling scrap gold, an investor can reinvest the cash in gold stocks or buy gold commodity index. Since gold prices excel in struggling economy, anyone can make reasonable gains in the next few years. Gold exchange traded funds (ETF) and gold certificates have historically been safe investments providing investors steady gains in rising and falling economies. Since large gold mining companies have a monopoly in the sector, buying long term shares in these companies is a great hedge against fluctuating stock market. Also look to invest in a gold company that finds huge gold reserve and is located in a stable economic region. Whatever your strategy, just remember that selling scrap gold and reinvesting it in ‘golden investments’ can offer double the profit.

Article 2:
Save or Sell? Should You Sell Your Scrap Gold?
Unlike other commodities, scrap gold retains some of its value even if it seems to have lost the luster. Actually, scrap gold should never be relegated to drawers because every gold item has a value regardless of the condition. If someone has a broken gold item or any other form of scrap gold, it is wise to evaluate its true value and decide whether to save it as an investment or sell it. The charm of <a href="http://www.birksgoldexchange.com">selling scrap gold</a>lies in the fact that gold dealer will always be willing to buy scrap because after melting the gold can again be converted into coins, antiques and jewelry.

Value

Still, selling your scrap gold may not be the best idea because if the current spot gold price is very low then the chance of getting a good price is minimal. Remember that you are not selling gold, but scrap gold. Scrap gold may not be worth the value of spot gold. Hence, it is always a good idea to check the current and historic prices of spot gold. If the price of spot gold is somewhat on a higher side then it is definitely worthwhile to sell your scrap gold.

When to Sell?

Also note that you should look to sell even if the gold price is not at its peak because the price of gold keeps on fluctuating, and you may never get the same price again. Only save the scrap gold as a future investment if the spot gold price is very low. In this case, you would want your scrap gold to regain value so that dealers and other interested people are willing to give you a fair price.

Current Price

It is easy to check the spot gold price. Use the internet to look at the historic graph of spot gold price or just check in with your local goldsmith to assess current prices. Keep in mind that if the current price of spot gold is high then you should never make a mistake of waiting for the price to go further up. Like other commodities, the current value may be a price bubble waiting to burst.

Selling Scrap Gold

In order to sell your scrap gold, you should try to appraise its value. You should know how many carats of gold it is. Gold is 9ct, 14ct, 18ct, 22ct or 24ct. Sometimes this information is engraved into the item. After determining the amount of carat, check on the internet for current spot gold prices. As said, a local goldsmith can also advise you on the current price. However, don’t take his word for it because he is still a businessmen looking to get a good deal.

You should also check online with reputable dealers and auction sites to gather more information. Mostly, reputable online brokers and auction websites will provide a better value because your local goldsmith has to charge extra commission to pay for the overhead expenses. Nevertheless, act wisely when deciding to sell or save it for future investment.

Best Place to Buy Gold and Silver Online

If you're looking for the best place to buy gold and silver online, you come to the right place. When purchasing precious metal and silver as a cover against rising prices, it's important to learn the leading gold and silver dealers online. In order to prevent getting ripped off, take my advice on these gold and silver dealers simply because I have managed a lot of them.

It is very important to notice that when buying gold and silver as a wise investment, you only purchase for the metal content material. You do not want to purchase numismatic or uncommon coins simply because many of them carry a higher premium over the spot value.

Since you are an investor of gold and silver, you will need to get as much metal as possible for the most affordable price. A good thing to remember would be to merely purchase bullion or gold and silver bullion coins.

Many coin dealers would try to get rid of you the unique and graded coins because they create big premiums over the spot price. To avoid being cheated like I have been, purchase only bullion coins and bars.

Silver and Precious Metals Investing 101

This is Part 1 of my "How to" video of getting started into silver and precious metal bullion or coin investing. A few of my viewers wanted to know where to begin, so here's some information and tips for you on the subject, while showing you some of the things I chose to buy. With silver investing there's no right or wrong product, whether it's coins, bars or rounds, but there are things that may make one more interesting than another to you. I am a bit of a niche buyer myself and prefer buying things that are unique or artistic that may have some value over the bullion spot price, where a lot of other people prefer to buy for the silver bullion only and pay the lowest premiums possible. Both methods are valid ways to invest. Precious metals investing is a great way to protect your funds from the rapid deflation of currency, balance a stock portfolio and make sure you've got a decent retirement.

This is a follow up to my discussion about my reference regarding silver coins and silver rounds. In this video I talk about which is more likely to develop numismatic or semi-numismatic premiums on their price.

Copper Bullion Investing

How and why to invest in copper bullion. With "precious" metals prices on the rise, copper is often overlooked. However, many of us are aware of copper's industrial use. Once it's consumed, it is gone forever. Purely from a supply and demand perspective, it only seems to make sense that the price-per-pound of copper should continue to increase.

When to Buy Which Silver Bullion- What I plan to do

Here I talk about when to buy which certain bullion. I've only been stacking for 6 months, but this is what I plan on doing in the current first half of the year and what i plan on doing in the second half of the years. First half of the year is when new designs comes out for what i call semi bullion, and usually the premiums are low, so I'm going to be buying them more when they're lowbefore they get high. When they get high I'll stack on more of the common bullion like the american silver eagles and the canadian Maple leaves. That way I'll have some I can sell for spot, and some to sell for a bit of a permium.

How to know if your Nickel contains Silver.........

In 1909 to 1981 pennies were 95% copper from 1983 to present are 97.5% zinc in 1982 they made both kinds.

I forgot to note that Buffalo Nickels do not contain silver....... But they are collectable and worth keeping......

I also forgot to note that a silver nickel may have a P, D, or S and still be silver, but only if the Mintmark is above the Building on the Rear.......

Silver nickels are fun to collect, and you can usually buy them under the melt value, which makes them a great choice for young collectors. Silver nickels contain $2.12 each worth of Silver on todays closing price on Fri, Apr. 1st, 2011.

If you have any coin questions, let me know...

How to Invest in Silver - Investing In Physical Silver 101

This is more of a basic guide to investing in silver from my personal experience. The premiums vary highly, but you can expect $1 or more premium per ounce on any given bullion piece. Because of that, if you can save up the money, you should probably get a few larger pieces because they have a "bulk" premium rate. Bars are usually a bit cheaper than coins, but there's not too much of a problem if you're still doing small scale investing.

Melting 2 Silver Dimes to Make a Nugget.

As the title says, and something I just did for fun and curiosity. Like the video says, the dimes were damaged and had no numismatic value, I understood the implications that they would no longer be recognizable. I wanted a nugget, and I would have payed five bucks for it anyway. An acid test should show it is 90% silver.

No, this is not illegal. The only legal issues you can run into is melting down pennies or nickels, and only if you are melting them for profit. Unless it is for profit, pennies and nickels can still be destroyed for educational, recreational, tourist, or jewelry purposes. Any currency would be illegal to deface if for fraudulent purposes, like trying to make a 1$ bill look like a 10$ bill.
http://www.coinflation.com/is_it_ille...
http://www.parkpennies.com/pressed-pe...

Quote from Kenneth B. Gubin, Counsel to the Mint.

"As you are already aware, a federal statute in the criminal code of the United States (18 U.S.C. 331), indeed makes it illegal if one "fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates, impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales or lightens" any U.S. coin. However, being a criminal statute, a fraudulent intent is required for violation. Thus, the mere act of compressing coins into souvenirs is not illegal, without other factors being present."

I would be remiss if I did not quote my mentor, the great Pseudo-Geber ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudo-G... ), who said of his batshit crazy scheme to turn lead into gold that it was "Summa perfectionis magisterii," or "The Height of the Perfection of Mastery". Although you still can't make gold (sorry Geber), you CAN go out and pay some nice people on the internet to send it to you-- which I highly recommend. Enjoy, and remember people-- DON'T tell anyone that you are in possession of precious metals-- especially not strange people who you have never met on the internet. Thanks, and happy stacking.

How to Buy Gold Bars in USA

Buy gold bars as investments
As investment vehicles, gold bars are gaining in popularity primarily because gold bars carry much lower premiums than gold bullion coins carry. For example, premiums on kilo gold barscan be as much as $50 per ounce lower than the premium on American Gold Eagles.

Truly, gold bars are an exciting way to invest in gold. Hefting large gold bars almost causes an adrenalin rush. Invariably, people holding large gold bars for the first time ask, "How can something so small be so heavy?" A huge amount of wealth can be stored and concealed in gold bars.
Gold Bars for sale

Gold bars for sale include 1-oz gold bars, 10-oz gold bars, kilo gold bars, and 100-gram gold bars. All these gold bars are .9999 fine (99.99 pure.)

Whereas a few years ago only 1-oz and 10-oz gold bars were available, today kilo gold bars are commonly bought by large investors. That is because kilo gold bars are easier to store than are 1-oz gold bars. In the space it takes to store twenty-five 1-oz gold bars (in their packaging from the refinery), six Royal Canadian Mint kilo gold bars (192.90 ounces) could be stored.

However, kilo gold bars are not necessarily the best investments for all investors. While large investors can use private carriers such as Brinks to move kilo gold bars around the country, most investors use the US Postal Service, which presently has a maximum insurance per package of $25,000. At $1,250 gold, a kilo gold bar has a value right at $40,000.

Investors wanting low premium gold bars should consider the 100-gram gold bars, which carry premiums only slightly higher than kilo gold bars. Buying 100-gram bars allows investors to ship within the US Postal Service's insurance limits.

As a rule, smaller gold bars carry larger mark-ups over spot. However, usually the premiums on 100-gram gold bars are less than the premiums on 10-oz gold bars.

How to Buy Gold Bullion

This video discusses the different types of gold and silver you can buy and how to purchase gold bullion. Gold bullion has actually been the number one performing asset class for the last decade. It has had an average yield of better than 15% here in the United States.

Gold has typically provided the investor with an opportunity to hedge against the devaluation of paper currency and it is also a quality investment in uncertain financial times.

What we are looking at right now is some severe political and geopolitical risk based on our financial system and gold bullion may be one of the best ways for an individual to hedge against these problems that sit out on the horizon.

Macau Gold

If you can find any of the older series Macanese Pataca coins, you should grab them.

Low mintage and quite a good little collector series of silver coins for the price. (Difficult to fine & at a fair price - yeah, you can in Hong Kong but the premiums are insane...)

Buying Gold Bullion

Gold & silver the best investment with land. One has to remember that the markets are paper contracts and not silver. I would keep stacking gold and silver for the long run. It will benefit you and the kids much more than inflated fiat currency.

Silver Kilo Coins

Those are very impressive coins. One way to look at it if you bought a kilo silver bar you have the same limited sales market. Some people may laugh at you now, but they won't be laughing when silver reaches 500 dollars an ounce. And when you look at supply and demand it's possible that silver will eventually sell equal or more than gold.

The Silver and Gold Scam

The Silver and Gold Scam
When the prices of Gold and Silver are low the general public is being dissuaded from buying Physical Gold and Physical Silver by Goldman-Sach and also the major media. Of course anyone knows that "buy low and sell high" is the winning investment formula. But who has uncanny price prediction. Even Jim Rogers admits that he is a terrible market timer, but leaves enough cash reserves and spreads out his investment risks and has the patience to wait out market downturns. Later on, when the price of silver and gold are extraordinarily high it will mainly be the middle class that get led into an investment trap and buy when the precious metals get ahead of themselves. This was the same type of thing that helped fuel the real estate bubble. It was investors expectation that home prices would go even higher. It was the middle-class that was left holding the bag and now it is the Federal Reserve that buys up those "troubled assets" with paper and takes back those homes from the middle-class. Expect the game to wind up the same way with silver & gold ultimately. Right now silver is a buy and hold. Later the financial situation may be totally changed if silver gets ahead of itself again.

Palladium may be another investment many are missing.
Palladium Investing - video playlist
Palladium may turn out to be the best investment in the metals markets. Palladium is far rarer than gold and used heavily in industry. Very little Palladium is available for investment.

Basics for Buying Silver and Gold

Some thoughts on Buying Silver and Gold as a preparation for an economic collapse.

The Best Places to Buy Gold and Silver for Survival

I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, much less in 20 years. However, gold and silver have been used by humans in commerce for over 5000 years. So, in a woefully unstable economy and world, I'll stick with my precious metals

FIRST LOOK Inside the FEDERAL RESERVE, USD, CASH, GOLD monetary SYSTEM - Americas Money Vault

FIRST LOOK Inside the FEDERAL RESERVE, USD, CASH, GOLD monetary SYSTEM - Americas Money Vault, National Geographic Full Episode PART 1

For the first time, National Geographic takes you inside the heart of the money machine to places that you're not allowed to bring a camera ...straight into the vaults of some of the world's largest stashes of what you want, need and bust your butt to get: Money.

Hidden deep under the streets of New York City, hundreds of billion dollars in gold bars are tucked away in a bunker that is anchored to the bedrock of Manhattan Island itself.

In the latest in a string of high-profile hacking disclosures, the Federal Reserve confirmed on Wednesday that one of its websites was broken into by cyber hackers in a breach that reportedly leaked the contact information of thousands of bankers.

While the central bank said the incident didn't "affect critical operations" of the Federal Reserve System, the disclosure is sure to fuel concerns about the cyber security of government websites and critical financial infrastructure.

The Fed hack appears to be tied to an Anonymous group that published on Twitter the credentials of more than 4,000 commercial bankers early Monday morning. The group, Operation Last Resort, said it received the documents "via the FED."

Call it the Rick Perry gold rush: The governor wants to bring the state's gold reserves back from a New York vault to Texas.

And he may have legislative support to do it. Freshman Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, R-Southlake, is carrying a bill that would establish the Texas Bullion Depository, a secure state-based bank to house $1 billion worth of gold bars owned by the University of Texas Investment Management Co., or UTIMCO, and stored by the Federal Reserve.

"If you think gold is a hedge, or a protection, you always want it as close to the individual and the entity as possible," Paul told The Texas Tribune on Thursday. "Texas is better served if it knows exactly where the gold is rather than depending on the security of the Federal Reserve."

Sadly, most Americans don't even realize that a private banking cartel has a monopoly over all money creation in this country. In recent years they have abused this power by wildly printing money ("quantitative easing"), and by making more than 16 trillion dollars in secret loans to their friends during the last financial crisis. "Neither the Treasury Department nor the Federal Reserve believes that the law can or should be used to facilitate the production of platinum coins for the purpose of avoiding an increase in the debt limit"

How to Buy Silver Bullion from a Local Coin Shop

Today. a few friends and I went to my local Silver Coin Bullion Shop in Southern California and traded in our paper dollar bills into real money which is Silver.

We asked a Few questions to Tracey from Covina Coin and Jeweler, who have been in business for over 20 years.

She was very knowledgeable about Silver, the Economy, and even what's going on with the Manipulation of Silver Prices

Remember that if you want to go out and invest in Silver, make sure to do your research about the person or business that you are buying from. As a matter of fact, shop around your local area to find the best rates for both buying silver and selling silver.

Don't just go down to a random pawn shop, because they more than likely will rip you off, especially if they sense that you don't know too much about what's going on with silver. Many of them sell you silver for much higher than what the spot silver price is currently costing in the market place. At the same time, when you go and sell your silver at those spots, you can get a lesser dollar value than what the market will actually give you for your silver ounces.

I trust Covina Coin and Jeweler because they always give me the best silver rates compared to other places around my area.

As Always, Keep Stacking that Silver!

Invest Wisely!

Silver and Precious Metals Investing 101

This is Part 2 of my "How to" video of getting started into silver and precious metal bullion or coin investing.

2014 Kookaburra & Koala Silver Coin Designs Released

When contrived "rarity" of 500,000 pieces of a "collectible" item are minted, there are more of them made than people wanting to own it. Article on China Silver Demand:
The Hong Kong based Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society or CGSE announced recently that it will launch yuan-based silver spot trading in Hong Kong in the first part of next year. The exchange says growing demand for silver has prompted the decision. This move shows that China is inching closer and closer to the silver market and is quietly nibbling away at Western demand for silver.

When Will This Shift Influence Global Silver Prices?
It's already well known that Chinese citizens are not only allowed, but encouraged to own precious metals like silver and gold. While no one truly understands China, it has become increasingly clear that demand for precious metals and the monetary safety they provide has remained culturally and socially significant for much of the country's huge populace.

The significance of precious metals in China has persisted even throughout the last 100 years while wealth in Western countries has been gradually eroded, extracted and now effectively transferred. Much of this has been a direct result of the great Western fiat currency experience, which is rapidly unraveling, going bad, and threatening to become even worse.

Comex -- Death by a Thousand Cuts
Some astute observers are wondering exactly when growing Chinese demand will begin to make an impact on physical inventories at Comex warehouses, which are tiny relative to the available supply of physical metal reported in other official warehouses. Furthermore, according to long time silver and commodities analyst Ted Butler, recent reports have shown that in and out inventory movement, has been nothing less than frantic. Mike Maloney is a huge advocate of commodities and the yellow metal in particular. His business also wholesales gold and silver proof coins, rounds, bars and more. At what point will the already low inventories diminish to the point of quiet, cash-offered deliveries only? This would amount to a technical default in the precious metals market that would further erode confidence in the paper based metals markets. Marc Faber, Jim Rogers and Robert Kiyosaki have also talked about how gold and silver are being invested in at unprecedented levels.

CME's Force Majeure May Foreshadow Future Physical Shortages
The day of "force majeure" also seems to be upon us, as a recent CME Group announcement demonstrates. On Nov. 26, the huge commodity exchange group declared a force majeure at its New York precious metals depositor operated by bullion and coin dealer Manfra, Tordella and Brooks, commonly referred to as MTB.
The CME claimed that delays in MTB's precious metal deliveries were a result of "operational limitations" due to Hurricane Sandy, even though that severe weather event occurred over a month ago.

The announcement affected MTB's deliveries of physical gold, palladium and platinum bullion, although at least some of the deliveries could be obtained from Brinks Co. instead. One can only wonder what will be the final straw that moves such defaults (blamed on the weather) into affecting the public's confidence in paper precious metals markets. With Chinese New Year about to kick of, sales of gold have been skyrocketing and imports are way up.

Best Way to Store Silver Coins, Bars & Rounds

These are great! I use these cylinder shaped ones for my rounds and coins and the square ones for my bars. Great for storage and stacking! The bottoms of these cylinder shaped ones are even designed to stack on top of one another too!

This is the best way that I've found to store my gold and silver bullion. The containers that I prefer are the 20-bar & 20-round Air-Tite Holders. They keep the gold and silver bullion secure and the containers themselves will not crack. They also stack easily for storage. This was filmed in 1080P HD with a Panasonic Lumix TS3 camera.

How to Buy Gold & Silver Coins from Ebay ?

Buying Gold & Silver Coins On eBay ?

Although I have purchased many silver and gold coins through ebay, their are faster, safer and easier ways to do it without getting ripped off ..

I would recommend sticking to American Eagles, Canadian Maple Leaf bullion coins or coins that have been certified by NGC ,PCGS or ANACS preferably.

When buying Silver & Gold coins "sight unseen" the ONLY way to mitigate risk is with certified numismatic coins + making SURE that you check the coins certification number and clarify with the seller that the COIN in the PHOTO is the one you will receive.

Bullion or raw/ungraded coins are a suckers game on eBay-anything could be a slug, even certified coins can be tampered with. Check the sellers feedback rating, anything less than 100% and I would move on ...

Do Not Fall into the hype that BULLION is the only way to go-That's bullshit and the guys espousing that crap KNOW IT!

Just take a look at the "Closed Sales" on eBay for certified coins- They Sell like hot-cakes! Make sure you look at the closed sales on MS70 coins ..

Do the research .. Don't take my word for it and especially not from some perfect hair-Wall Street types, selling books, driving Tesla Roadsters & tooling around in their yachts
They want to scare you into buying , don't fall for it .. end of rant

Like I said, I have used eBay to buy gold & silver and I continue to do so on occasion.
I just don't feel comfortable recommending eBay to novice gold & silver coin buyers.

Since I originally posted this video, eBay has tightened up standards dramatically when it comes to what kind of certified coins you can sell on their site and made big steps to eliminate all the riff-raff.

Gold Bullion coins - Mintages and Pricing

So it looks like China is trying to get back to a gold based currency, and America will drop the price so low, the Chinese will be able to buy every last bit . There's no bubble in gold. Not even close. Actually the price of gold hasn't even risen....yet. The only thing that's risen is the mining cost. Gold is becoming exceedingly difficult to find. The industry average to mine an ounce of gold has risen from a couple of hundred dollars to over a thousand in the last 10 years. The real bubble is in bonds and the US dollar itself. Once those burst that's when you'll see gold begin a real rise.

Metal Detector Finds 840 Gold Coins Wickham Market Hoard Treasure

In 2008 a man using a metal detector found a hoard of 840 gold coins, this hoard has since become known as The Wickham Market Hoard.

The Wickham Market Hoard contained coins that belonged to the Iceni Tribe and are believed to be from 40 BC to 15 AD. This would date these coins to Pre-Queen Boudicca the warrior queen who led the revolt against Roman Rule which destroyed Colchester in 60 AD.

The Ipswitch Museum raised 300,000 pounds to purchase the hoard and keep it in Suffolk, later this hoard will be visiting Colchester, Norwich and Cambridge. arolineMcDonald, curator, said: " Cambridge and Norfolk are part of the Iceni tribal heartlands, so essentially we're sending the coins back to where they came from." McDonald added "I like to think emotionally we're all related to the Iceni because we tread in those places that they trod 2,000 years ago."

Recently the Ipswitch Museum posted an opportunity for 50 people to help clean these coins in a free workshop. All 50 spots have already been filled. I imagine they filled quite quickly. McDonald said "We wanted our contemporary communities to experience the coins close up." McDonald continued "It's quite unusual for us to have members of the public in the conservation lab and even more unusual to have them around our treasure."

Emma Hogarth, conservation officer, said: "If they're pure gold, they don't decay, but as there is some copper in these ones, we do have a little bit of corrosion. It's certainly time-consuming which is why we're delighted to have the public get involved in the work we've got to do."

In 2013 an exhibition of Chinese treasure will be displayed in Colchester and in return, the Wickham Market Hoard could go on display in China.
Well, that's all I've got for now. As always, take care and Happy Hunting! Bye.

SILVER BEAR market NEW SILVER BEAR coin in the O'CANADA series

Newest coin released in the O'CANADA 1/2 oz silver coin series subscription. Number 4 out of total of 12 coins, 1 ships every month. The lazy man way to collect . The polar bear looks great. As for the prices, if you add to your stack more, now, you can bring your cost/OZ down. And besides that, when silver is back up to $50+, this little dip we hit will be a distant memory .The detail on all those coins is great. The silver price is good for us at the moment, the more they push it down the more the stackers buy. I have never seen what i have seen these last couple of days. All the P.M dealers have or are being cleaned out..

Casting 1 Troy Ounce Gold Bullion Bar (24 Karat)

ounce gold bullion bar. Fuel/Oxy torch and a graphite mold were used. The gold was melten in a silica crucible.
i found one that sells 1kg of gold dust 22+ karat purity for 7000$ so if melted down 62.22 grams being 2746 x that by 10 then + x5 = around 40k for that 7000 and plus all the gas spent on melting this stuff you would still make incredibly high profit...

Air-Tite ~ How to Protect Your Silver American Eagles From Tarnish

I protect my silver Eagles from tarnish by putting them into Air-Tite cases.
, for numismatic, special, or display things it's fine to have airtites. But I think when someone is accumulating a lot of generic or gov. Minted things it's better to just have a tube for 2 reasons: 1. Space. 2. Added cost. Even if u can get them for as low as .30 each, that will add up a lot in the long run.

-Comes in Airtite stays in Airtite.
-Comes in tubes, stays in tube.
-Comes in plastic sheet, stay in plastic sheet.
Me likee buy silber. me no likee buy Airtite.!!!!

10 Gram PAMP Suisse Gold Bar & Canadian Silver Coins

Just showing a couple pieces of gold and silver that I recently purchased. 10 gram (0.35 ounce) PAMP Suisse gold bar, and Canadian Wildlife Series 1 ounce Moose (2012) and Antelope (2013) coins. The design on the gold bar depicts Fortuna, Roman goddess of fortune.
I buy most of my gold and silver from APMEX.com I've purchased several items from them and have never had any problems. Just go to their web page and you can see up to the minute prices. Pay by check; it takes longer for delivery but you save 3% vs credit card.

As for gold and silver, it's the flooding of SLV and GLD paper transactions and futures causing the price to drop. Silver even more since tied to industrial demand. As for over supplied, , it's a finite resource most of which is already mined and traded. It's not like someone just found thousands of tons of the precious metals and dumped it on the market.

Silver and Gold, what will it take to awaken the American people?

Quick discussion about what it will take to get people in to Silver and Gold
When I talk about silver stagnation in price, I mean in the short term. We all know there will be a upward trend in price in the long term, so there is no argument there When will silver meteorically rise? That is hard question and is dependent on many factors: costs to mine produce and refine silver, levels of production, levels of demand, outside factors such as level of public debt, overprinting of currency by the Fed and other governments around the world. Check out chris Martenson on exponential growth theory. I believe silver is included in that theory. People will come into the silver market right at the end so for the stackers its only just extra time to get the physical as cheep as dirt.

FAKE PAMP SUISSE Tungsten Filled Gold Bars found in NYC. Is your gold bullion real?

FAKE PAMP SUISSE Tungsten Filled Gold Bars found in NYC. Is your gold bullion real?

A few days ago, our report on the discovery of a single 10 oz Tungsten-filled gold bar in Manhattan's jewelry district promptly went viral, as it meant that a tungsten-based, gold-counterfeiting operation, previously isolated solely to the UK and Europe, had crossed the Atlantic.

The good news was that the counterfeiting case was isolated to just one 10 oz bar. This morning, the NYPost reports that as had been expected, in the aftermath of the realization that the sanctity of the gold inventory on 47th Street just off Fifth Avenue has been polluted, and dealers promptly check the purity of their gold, at least ten more fake 10-ounce "gold bars" filled with Tungsten have been discovered. The Post has learned as many as 10 fake gold bars — made up mostly of relatively worthless tungsten — were sold recently to unsuspecting dealers in Manhattan's Midtown Diamond District. The 10-oz. gold bars are hugely popular with Main Street investors, and it is not known how many of the fake gold bars were sold to dealers — or if any fake bars were purchased by the public.

As is to be expected, the Post story is weak on details: after all, any dealer who admits to having allowed Tungsten to enter his or her inventory can kiss their retail business goodbye, as customers will avoid said Tungsten outlet like the plague, for the simple reason that suddenly counterparty risk has migrated from Wall Street to the Diamond District. The one named dealer is the same one who already made an appearance in the previous story on Tungsten in gold's clothing. One gold dealer discovered that four of the 3-inch-by-1-inch gold bars he bought — worth about $72,000 retail — were counterfeit. "It has the entire street on edge," said Ibrahim Fadl, 62, who has been the owner of Express Metal Refining, a Midtown gold-refinery business, for the last 11 years. "I and the others on the street work off of trust; now that trust is strained." Fadl, a Columbia University graduate with a master's degree in chemical engineering, and who has more than 40 years in the industry, purchased the four fake bars from a well-known Russian salesman with whom he has done business.

Ah yes, those pesky Russians: always happy to do the Fed's bidding, because who really gains from the loss of confidence in physical gold? Fadl became suspicious when he offered the salesman a deep discount for the investment-grade gold bars and he quickly accepted it, a source tells The Post. Fadl said he did his due diligence "by X-raying the bars to ascertain the purity of the gold and weighing the bars, and the Swiss markings were perfect." Tungsten is an industrial metal that weighs nearly the same as gold but costs a little over $1 an ounce. Gold closed Friday at $1,774.80 an ounce.

We wish Fadl all the best in his liquidation sale. Others, for logical reasons, are far less willing to step forward: A second 47th Street refiner, who wished to remain anonymous, said he was burned recently when he bought six gold bars that turned out to be mostly tungsten, with just a gold veneer. He would not comment, though, on who sold him the bogus bars.

The counterfeiting so far appears to have impacted solely PAMP (Produits Artistiques Métaux Précieux ) gold bars, madeby MTB, whose CEO can hardly be too happy that some "Russian" has made it a life mission to destroy the credibility of any gold stamped with the PAMP stamp. Raymond Nassim, CEO of Manfra, Tordell & Brookes, the American arm of the Swiss firm that created the original gold bars — with their serial number and purity rating stamped clearly into them — said he reported the situation to the US Secret Service, whose jurisdiction covers the counterfeiting of gold bars. He said his company "is supporting and cooperating with authorities any way we can." Nassim thought the culprit must be a professionally trained jeweler to have pulled off the caper. "The forger had to slice the original bar along the side, hollow out the gold and insert the tungsten ingot, and then reseal and polish the bar, Nassim said.

The case of gold counterfeiting has already taken NYC by storm:

Silver Unboxing: Adding more oz to the stack.

If lower priced govt issued coins is what you're looking for, order Philharmonics & Maple Leafs. They are both government issued with less premium. Might be a great way to accumulate a lot more w/out a lot of premium.

Buy Silver Now - David Morgan

This year silver stock is 100% controlled and has nothing to do with the current market situation. If it did, it would be way past $60. But it will come margin call (fiat currency system crashes), current debt puts silver at 20k/ounce, just how much time. Exact dates are a waste of time. Only the God of All Creation truly knows that. Silver is a backup plan, not a get rich quick money scheme
