This is more of a basic guide to investing in silver from my personal experience.The premiums vary highly, but you can expect $1 or more premium per ounce on any given bullion piece. Because of that, if you can save up the money, you should probably get a few larger pieces because they have a "bulk" premium rate. Bars are usually a bit cheaper than coins, but there's not too much of a problem if you're still doing small scale investing.
